Education After School

Since the core of our mission statement is “to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential”, Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade has done extensive research in finding and administering safe & structured programming to help our youth members to become “productive, caring and responsible citizens.”

Our after school academic program and homework assistance, organized league basketball, baseball, football, cheerleading, and tennis programs are offered on a year-round basis in order to keep the children occupied as long as possible in a healthy, safe, productive, and enjoyable environment. Over 60% of youth crime is committed between the hours of 2-6pm. With our programs, we help decrease the number of children in the streets in the after-school hours, as well as during the weekends.

Also known as A.I.M (After School Improvement Methods) provides an all around educational program geared towards helping children achieve excellence.

The program begins at 2 pm every school day, providing children with homework assistance, literacy classes, computer skills training, arts crafts, physical fitness, dance and social skills.

80% of our club alumni graduate from High School.

78% of our club alumni said the club helped them achieve great self-esteem.

81% of our club alumni said they developed a sense of responsibility to give back to their community.
