Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami Foundation We invite all of you who recognize the significance of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami and wish to offer planned financial support to sustain its mission and programs, to consider a gift to our Foundation. The Foundation, like an individual retirement portfolio, is endowment savings providing critical cash flow to fuel the budget, enhance capital improvements, expand services and/or provide emergency funds during challenging economic times. Gifts to the Foundation in most cases will qualify for income and gift tax deductions if made during the donor’s lifetime and for estate tax deduction if made at the donor’s death. There are a variety of vehicles and methods whereby one can establish a planned gift to perpetuate giving to Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami. All philanthropy is very much appreciated, however, individuals contributing ten thousand donors or more will be recognized as members of The Bebe Rebozo Heritage Club. We urge you to confer with your attorney, financial and/or tax advisor to review and approve any plans that you are considering and whether the technique is consistent with your personal objectives and financial and tax situation. Bequests or Devises Perhaps the simplest and most popular of planned gifts is an outright gift to the Foundation in a donor’s will or revocable trust. When such a gift is made by will, it is called a ‘devise’ or bequest. Adding a ‘codicil’ to a will is typically quite nominal and simple. To include a bequest in your will for Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami Foundation, you might consider the following language: “ I give $ _____________to Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami Foundation, Inc., a Florida not-for-profit corporation, for its endowment.” Other possibilities for Foundation gifts include: ? Gifts of Property/ Real Estate ? Gifts of Retirement Plan Assets ? Naming the Foundation as owner and beneficiary of a paid-up life insurance policy ? Gifts of appreciated securitiesThis information in no way constitutes professional advice. We will, however, be happy to work with your independent advisors to assist you in any way. You do a wonderful service when you provide for our future in your will. Please tell us about your philanthropic plans by calling the Foundation office at 305. 446.9910 Robert M.
