Educational After-School Program  

Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade offers a fun and enriching Educational After School Program for children in K – 8th grades, Mondays – Fridays 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. 

HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE
Youth receive additional academic support from qualified staff during the After-School Program.
LITERACY ACTIVITIES
Additional academic support is provided by a certified teacher that implements a fun and engaging literacy curriculum to increase the love of reading and promote academic success.
TUTORING
Weekly tutoring is available for qualifying students.
ARTS & CRAFTS
Children are in touch with their creative side with a rich assortment of arts and crafts projects.
SPORTS AND FITNESS
Scheduled recreation time give our kids an outlet through physical exertion as well as social skills development. Sports offered varies from Club to Club and may include: baseball, basketball, cheerleading, dance, flag football, tackle football, tennis and track and field.
STEM (science, technology, engineering and math)
A certified teacher engages our young minds in our on-site STEM Lab with experiences that develop their appreciation and use of science, technology and math in their everyday lives.
GENERAL RECREATION & GAMES
Our Club is equipped with board games, billiards, foosball, ping pong and more for kids to just have fun!

Teen Program 

Once your child reaches high-school (9th-12th Grade), in addition to all the valuable resources we currently provide, we offer them a specialized program geared for post-secondary placement, career choices, and future planning. The Teen Program curriculum is designed to prepare them for the next stage in their development and provide meaningful experiences that will help build their character and confidence.

The Summer Camp Program is open to all school aged youth (K-12) and are grouped by age/grade. During the 8-week program we offer indoor and outdoor activities. Parents must come to the Club to register their child.

Age 6-18

ALL STARS engages Club members 6-18 years in age in high-quality organized flag football, basketball, and soccer programs.

Age 13-18

CareerLaunch is BGCA's job-readiness and career preparation program for teens. It provides fun and interactive activities for youth ages 13 to 18 to explore a broad range of career areas, match their interest to career clusters and identify the skills and education needed for their particular career path. CareerLaunch is designed to support youth in preparing for their first job, internships, summer employment and so much more! The program offers multiple implementation models for staff, which provides maximum flexibility to successfully implement the program.

Age 13+

diplomas2Degrees (d2D), a college readiness program, provides a range of services to guide Club members as they work toward high school graduation and prepare for post-secondary education and career success.

Age 9-12

DIY STEM is a hands-on, activity-based STEM curriculum which connects youth to science themes they encounter regularly.

Age 5-12

Jr. RBI teaches the fundamentals of baseball and softball to children ages 5 to 12, and serves as a feeder program for the RBI program.

All 14-18

Keystoning is the Boys & Girls Club Movement’s ultimate teen program for youth ages 14 to 18. This unique program provides leadership development opportunities for youth to participate in activities, both in and out of the Club, in three focus areas: academic success, career preparation and community service. With the guidance of an adult advisor, Keystone Clubs aim to positively impact teens, their Club and local communities.

All Ages

Studies show that young people who engage in service do better in school, maintain positive relationships with adults and avoid risky behaviors. The Million Members, Million Hours of Service initiative aims to engage 1 million Boys & Girls Club youth in service projects each year, with each donating at least one hour of service.

Age 13-18

Money Matters promotes financial responsibility and independence among Club members ages 13 to 18. Participants learn how to manage a checking account, create a budget, save and invest, start small businesses and pay for college.

All Ages

Power Hour: Making Minutes Count provides Club professionals with the strategies, activities, resources and information to create an engaging homework help and tutoring program that encourages Club members of every age to become self-directed learners.

All 14-18

Project Learn reinforces the academic enrichment and school engagement of young people during the time they spend at the Club.

Age 8-17

SMART Girls provides health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement for girls ages 8 to 17.

Age 6-15

SMART Moves is a prevention and education program addressing problems such as drug and alcohol use and premature sexual activity.

All Ages

Triple Play is a comprehensive health and wellness program. It strives to improve the overall health of Club members ages 6-18 by increasing daily physical activity, teaching them about good nutrition and helping them develop healthy relationships.

Age 14-18

Youth of the Year is Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premier recognition program. It is our signature effort to foster a new generation of leaders, fully prepared to live and lead in a diverse, global and integrated world economy.
